The Shepherd mode, also known as Ukrainian Dorian, Romanian minor, or Dorian ♯4, is not native to any Byzantine Tone. It appears frequently as a coloration within Plagal Fourth Tone, while a small number of Plagal Fourth doxologies are written entirely in this mode.
